The degree program ensures special focus on knowledge, methods and skills already acquired in the bachelor’s degree course; it promotes constant dialogue between professors and students through tutoring activities; it offers in-house internships that enable students to acquire experience that will be useful in the perspective of entering the employment market; it provides workshops on the interpretation of the sources of different historical periods.

LM84 Historical Sciences
Course description
The master’s degree program, is divided into the two courses “Mediterranean, Medieval and Modern” studies and “Modern and Contemporary” studies, and it provides a critical and in-depth knowledge of the above-mentioned historical periods, that is essential to understand society changes and the cultural, political, economic, ethical and religious factors that have had an impact on their evolution over time. The course offers an in-depth focus on the contents and methods of the various fields of historical research and provides specific skills required in employment market.

The disciplines of the curriculum (history, anthropology, geography, languages, literature, and document analysis) as well as the skills acquired in each of these areas, will help graduates to find a job in the field of cultural heritage, scientific research, education, the publishing industry and the media.
Fees, contributions and exemptions
Costs calculated based on family income (ISEE-University) and including:
- fee for the equal access to university studies (from 130€ to 160€);
- annual amount (from 0 (if ISEE-University <= € 22,000) to € 2,000);
Flat tax = €1,000 for international students (UE and non UE)
With a family income (ISEE-University < € 26,000) students are entitled to receive: a) Scholarship consisting of total exemption from taxes, cash share, canteen and accommodation service (for off-site students) b) Grants for international mobility c) Reduced rates for the use of sports facilities and cultural services d) Benefits for students completing their degrees within regulation time
