Robotics and Automation Engineering

  • Good Job Positions within few months after graduation
  • Stimulating and dynamic study environment

Two curricula:

  • Intelligent Autonomous Systems focusing on the design and supervision of intelligent units (agents) that can be employed in the industrial and civil sectors.
  • Cyber-Physical Systems focusing on the modeling, supervision and control of systems describing paradigms where sensor networks are strongly integrated with actuators, processing units and plants

The program provides background both on the methodological principles of the Feedback Control Theory, Optimization, Estimation and Filtering and on the practical aspects of industrial and information engineering frameworks (robotics and mechatronics, computer science and real-time programming basics for automation systems, control of networked systems, intelligent learning, positioning systems and autonomous driving)

Students participate in competition examination. Admission requirements can be found in the admission announcement (May/June).

After the publication of the final ranking, admitted students can enroll by paying the first fee instalment.

For the announcement of admission consult the section dedicated to master’s degrees.

Non-EU students can participate in a specific call (March / April), consult the section dedicated; Pre-registration on universitaly.it is required.

Students are required to have a Bs. degree in Computer Engineering or an Electronic Engineering (1st level). Applicants with an Engineering Bs. degree with basic educational background in Control/Automation (at least 6 credits) will be taken into consideration.
50 freshmen/year are selected, 20 places among them are reserved to Extra EU citizens

The course main aim is to train high-profile experts with a strong interdisciplinary vision focused both on the information methodologies and on the most advanced techniques related to autonomous and Human-in-the-loop Robotics for advanced applications. The program has two curricula: Intelligent Autonomous Systems and Cyber-Physical Systems

Job positions for graduates in Robotics and Automation Engineering are in all areas pertaining to innovation and development of production, design, planning and programming of integrated control systems for the management of complex systems (automotive systems, intelligent factory plants, autonomous driving, aerospace systems)

Residential Center

It complements and completes the services provided by the University of Calabria and has put into shape the idea of a British-American campus-style University. It encompasses 10 districts hosting the university residences, consisting of apartments with double and single rooms, living room, kitchen and toilets. In these districts there are common areas for study and recreational activities and sports, there are TV rooms, game rooms and gyms; launderettes and bike rental services are also available.
